Rainbow Homes Program

Rainbow Home Program offers a unique child and community-centric model of care that helps vulnerable children access their basic rights of a safe, loving, and happy childhood.

The program aims to integrate them into regular schools and helps to put them on an equal footing with other children their age.

Technical Resource Centre (TRC)

The Technical Resource Centre (TRC) serves as a central hub for collating and sharing experiences and knowledge gathered from years of direct work with children in street situations.

Our work, alongside that of our implementing partners, focuses on supporting all residential homes/hostels and Community-Based Care (CBC) initiatives under the Rainbow Homes Program (RHP).

TRC’s primary aim is to assist in programmatic, capacity-building, and financial aspects. Additionally, TRC engages in wider knowledge-sharing activities, both within and beyond the organization, including knowledge exchange events and sensitization workshops.

Key Functions of the TRC

  • Implementing capacity-building plans of the Rainbow Homes Program.
  • Conducting quality assessments on care programs for vulnerable children.
  • Collecting and collating proof of the impact, action research, trainings, and capacity-building activities.
  • Development: Documenting good practices and collective knowledge of the organization for residential care, CBC, and aftercare programs. The TRC aims to create concise reading materials for implementing teams.
  • Engaging with various economic institutions and expert organizations to understand the realities and take cognizance of the challenges faced by vulnerable children.
Key Functions

Knowledge Dissemination

External knowledge dissemination is conducted with NGOs, social work colleges, and schools to offer training and capacity building in various aspects of care, both within the homes and in the community-based setting. Additionally, digital content is disseminated through online mediums.
